A DEVICE TO FRAME SPRING

In this 2 week workshop for Shandong Jinzen Students we designed and made an inhabitable device for viewing spring growth. Each student group selected a flower on campus, surveyed it’s surrounding area and built a seat around a camera obscura focussing on the flower.

We first designed a seat based around Cesare Leonardi’s Solidi Series then merged this design with a Walter Pichler style headset. All made out of reclaimed cardboard.
